Engine 1 can provide water either by using pressurized water from a hydrant or by drafting from a pond or underground tank. Most of the homes north of Center rd are protected by water from tanks or ponds. Easton's firefighters are very proficient in drafting from these static water supplies. Engine 1 is also our mutual aide engine. So if a neighboring town asks for assistance, Engine 1 will be the engine responding. Engine 1 carries 1000 gallons of water, 3000 feet of 5" supply hose, 500 feet 2 1/2" hose, 2 crosslays of 1 3/4" 200 feet each, and has a 1500 GPM pump.
